From the 19th to the 25th of September 2004 I attended a creative
photography workshop in Tuscany. This was a beautiful
gift, paid for by Panasonic as part of a
prize for a photo competition. |
I was so
deeply inspired by the experience, which
involved deep reflection into the reasons why I take photographs,
bringing out the essence of myself and exploring
it in the images I capture.

The
combination of creative and meditative exercises,
yoga, tuition and intuition, capturing the moments in a beautiful
environment and then constructive criticism, all were catalysts
to inspire me and open my creative eyes.
I am so grateful to the higher forces which
enabled me to have this experience, as I don't believe anything
happens by chance, through this I can move on to find my spiritual
purpose and I hope I can create art which can touch others in
the depth of their hearts, as does the experience
of creating touch mine. |

During the workshop we did an exercise of self-portrait,
not such an easy task, but I could see the point. Repetition
of the same, every day, encouraged me to explore the subject
to a deeper level, this exercise also helped me to let go
and give in to intuitive feeling, also to
be the photographer and the one being photographed simultaneously
is very interesting.
